We glaze all of our frames using only high-quality lenses that are sourced from a UK supplier. We offer a wide range of lens types but our favourite lens option, is the Super Lens. It’s our lens that does it all - lightweight, anti-glare, anti-scratch, and easy clean with blue shield protection at the best possible price.

  Coatings

  We always want to offer our customers great value for money. That’s why all of our lenses come with free coatings that protect against glare and reflections.

  Easy Clean £10 - Comes with all the benefits of our standard coating but with a resistance to smudging and smearing. This means that your lenses last much longer.

  Super Lens £49 - Is our all-encompassing lens offering. It has anti-glare and anti-scratch coatings. It’s easy clean. It also has a blue-shield coating to filter the light from digital screens. Plus it’s a thinner and lighter lens (1.67).

  Tints

  We can make any frame into sunglasses or transitions for you. All you have to do is choose the colour…

  Polarised Lenses £60 - Why polarised? These lenses block glare from light reflecting off of road or water surfaces better than any other type of lens.

  Transition lenses £55 - Why Transitions? With these you get two in one. Lenses that are fully clear indoors but dark outdoors.

  Thinning

  As your prescription increases, so can the size of your lens. We know that it’s important to you to have lenses that are as comfortable as possible, so we offer three lens thinning options.

  Thin 1.6 Free* - For anyone who needs it. We offer lenses that are up to 35% thinner and 40% lighter than standard lenses, at no extra cost.

  Thinner 1.67 £35 - Lenses that are up to 45% thinner and 45% lighter than standard.

  Thinnest 1.74 £60 - Lenses that are up to 60% thinner and lighter than standard.

  *some prescriptions will not be available in a 1.6

• Postage & Shipping

  Postage is charged at £4.50 for all orders. Frames will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. Frames should be sent to Spex Pistols using either a padded A5 envelope or small box (Max. Dimensions).

  All reglazes are completed at the customer’s own risk. Spex Pistols accepts no responsibility for damage caused to any frames during the glazing process.

  Spex Pistols reserves the right to decline any frames received on the basis of quality. In order to glaze frames with new lenses the frame must meet a minimum quality standard. In cases where the frame is rejected, customers will receive a refund for lenses but not the cost of postage as frames will be returned to the customer.
